Where Serenity Meets the Snow-Capped Peaks
Doodhpathri, known as the “Valley of Milk.” According to legend, the revered poet and saint of Kashmir, Sheikh-Ul-Aalam, discovered water here while seeking to make ablution before prayers. This water miraculously transformed into milk, thus giving the meadow its enchanting name. In addition, the water in Doodhpathri appears milky and remains cold throughout the year. This scenic area, situated in a bowl-shaped valley of the Pir Panjal Range at an altitude of 2,730 meters (8,960 feet), is approximately 40 km (25 miles) from the srinagar airport, and the journey takes roughly an hour by car. Furthermore, its beauty is enhanced by silver shining streams that flow gracefully over large stones and lush green grasses that cover the expansive meadows. Doodhpathri presents a verdant landscape, adorned with a variety of colourful flowers.Activities: Visitors can enjoy activities like horse riding, trekking, and camping.
